Day 4The Proverbs 31 Woman

A heart that can be trusted

The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

Proverbs 31:11

The first thing the passage says about the virtuous woman, right after praising her worth, is this: she can be trusted. The people around her can rest in her. Not because she's infallible, but because her heart is whole — she speaks the truth, keeps her word, doesn't play both sides. In a world where words mean so little, being a trustworthy woman is rare and beautiful. And that trustworthiness doesn't come from gritting your teeth and trying harder; it comes from a heart anchored in God. Whoever walks close to the Faithful One learns to be faithful. Today, ask yourself: do the people around you feel they can rest in your heart? Don't demand perfection of yourself — ask God for integrity. He turns unsteady hearts into safe havens for the people we love.

Prayer

Father, make me a trustworthy woman. Anchor my heart in Your truth, so that the people I love can rest in me. May my word carry weight because my life is rooted in You. Amen.
