Day 5 — The Proverbs 31 Woman
The faith that sustains the wise woman
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Hebrews 11:1
Behind every virtue of the woman in Proverbs 31 lies a faith that never shows up in the verses themselves, yet holds everything together. It takes faith to run a household when money is tight, faith to raise children without yet seeing who they'll become, faith to work and plant without any guarantee of harvest. The wise woman isn't strong because she has everything under control — she's strong because she believes in a God who does. Faith is the firm foundation of what you hope for and still cannot see: peace in your home, healing in your family, tomorrow's provision. On the days you can't find a way out, remember that walking by faith means holding the hand of the One who has already reached the end of the road. You don't need to see everything. You need to trust the One who does.
Prayer
Lord, increase my faith. When I can't see a way out, help me believe that You are already at work. Make my heart a firm foundation, sustained not by what I see, but by who You are. Amen.
