Day 18The Proverbs 31 Woman

Sowing Faith in the Next Generation

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6

If you're a mother, grandmother, aunt, godmother, or care for a child in any way, know that you're doing one of the most important works in the world: planting faith in a new generation. The woman of Proverbs 31 leaves a legacy — her children rise up because of what she sowed in them. And the greatest legacy isn't money or comfort; it's the knowledge of God. You don't need perfect theological answers for this. Children learn far more from watching you pray, forgive, trust, and love than from hearing sermons. Your life is the first Bible they read. Don't pressure yourself to raise perfect children — that doesn't exist. Plant the seed, water it with love and prayer, and entrust the growth to God. What you teach today may blossom decades from now, when you might not even be around to see it. Sow with faith. God takes care of the harvest.

Prayer

Father, help me plant faith in the hearts of the children You've entrusted to me. May my life teach more than my words do. Keep my little ones in Your ways all the days of their lives. Amen.
