Day 10 — The Proverbs 31 Woman
Wisdom that comes from above
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
James 1:5
You don't have to pretend you have it all figured out. What relief that truth brings! The wise woman of Proverbs 31 wasn't born with a manual of answers; she learned to ask God for wisdom. And look at what a generous promise this is: God gives wisdom "to all men liberally," without scolding you for not knowing. Facing the decisions that keep you up at night — about your children, your work, your finances, a relationship — you have a Father you can ask. Wisdom isn't about stockpiling information; it's about seeing life the way God sees it and acting according to His heart. And that's something you ask for on your knees, not something you earn by your own effort. Today, before you try to work everything out in your own head, stop and ask: "Lord, give me wisdom in this." He has promised to answer. The wisest woman isn't the one with all the answers, but the one who knows whom to ask.
Prayer
Father, I admit that I lack wisdom. You promised to give it to whoever asks — so I'm asking. Show me Your way in today's decisions, and teach me to see life the way You see it. Amen.
