Day 72 — Young Woman of Faith
Small Habits, Big Difference
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”
Colossians 3:23
You don't build a good life in a single day. You build it over hundreds of ordinary days, repeating small choices that seem unimportant but aren't.
Reading the Bible for ten minutes every morning. Drinking water instead of soda most days. Reviewing your notes before bed. Saying thank you and meaning it. Apologizing when you're wrong. Praying before reacting.
These things don't seem big. But added up over time, they shape who you are.
God is just as present in the small faithfulnesses as in the big achievements. He sees the girl who does what needs to be done, even without applause, even when she's sleepy, even without certainty about the outcome.
If you want to be different a year from now, look at today's habits. Don't try to change everything at once. Choose one habit. Repeat it for a week. Then for a month. And keep adding, slowly, until the sum surprises you.
Prayer
Father, may I not despise the small days. May every habit I'm cultivating be a seed of who I want to become. Help me be faithful in the small things. Amen.
