Day 7 — Young Woman of Faith
You Have a Name
“But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”
Isaiah 43:1
In an age when people sometimes feel like just another number — another profile, another student, another consumer — hearing that God calls you by name carries a different weight.
He doesn't call you "the girl over there," doesn't confuse you with anyone else, doesn't need to check your profile picture to remember who you are. He knows you. By name. With intimacy.
And along with that comes a statement that changes everything: "you are mine." You have an owner — and that owner didn't just buy you, didn't just win you, didn't just stumble upon you by chance. He formed you, redeemed you, chose you.
That means you belong somewhere. That you're not alone, drifting through life without an anchor. That there is someone who holds you up, who knows your name, who says "fear not" in the very moments when fear feels bigger than everything else.
Today, when you feel like just one more face in the crowd, remember this: to God, you have a face, you have a name, you have a story — and you have a home in Him.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for knowing me by name. On the days I feel invisible or lost, remind me that I am Yours. May that belonging be my peace. Amen.
