Day 6 — Young Woman of Faith
Masterpiece in God's Hands
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
Ephesians 2:10
The Greek word used here for "workmanship" is poiema — where we get the word "poem." You are God's poem. Not a rough draft, not a discarded page. A poem carefully written by Him.
And a poem isn't just something beautiful. It carries meaning. Every line has a purpose. Every word was chosen. Nothing is by accident.
That applies to you: you are not a mistake. You are not a lesser version. You were created in Christ, with works prepared beforehand — things only you can do, ways only you can make an impact, people only you can reach the way you reach them.
Sometimes it feels like your life is too small to have purpose. But God doesn't need grand stages to write beautiful stories. He writes in simple moments, in relationships, in everyday attitudes.
Today, remember: you are a work of art in progress. Still being written — and the Author is perfect.
Prayer
God, thank You for reminding me that I am Your workmanship, Your poem. Help me walk in the works You prepared for me, without comparing myself to anyone else's path. Amen.
