Day 5 — Young Woman of Faith
You Don't Need Approval to Have Worth
“Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.”
Proverbs 31:30
There's a quiet pressure almost every young woman feels: the pressure to be approved of. To please. To have the right look, the right answer, the right life. Social media amplifies this to the extreme — every photo posted waits for validation.
But the Word has something important to say about this: charm can deceive and beauty fades. This isn't a criticism of beauty — it's a perspective. What lasts, what builds, what truly defines a woman's worth isn't on the surface.
Your worth isn't in your follower count. It's not in being the prettiest in the room, the most popular in your class, the most talked-about in the group. It's in who you are before God — in the love you carry, the character you cultivate, the heart you offer Him and the people around you.
You can take care of your appearance, get dressed up, express yourself — all of that is healthy. But don't let your heart depend on approval to feel whole. God has already approved you.
Prayer
Father, I confess I still depend a lot on other people's approval. Help me root myself in Your approval, which never wavers and never abandons me. I want my worth rooted in You. Amen.
