Day 65 — Young Woman of Faith
Hands That Work
“He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.”
Proverbs 10:4
You probably don't work in agriculture, but the image in this verse is powerful for any area of life: whoever tends to what they have, grows. Whoever neglects it, loses.
Diligence isn't rushing. It's consistent care. It's showing up when you don't feel like it. It's doing well what's in front of you, even when it's a small task.
There are young people who wait around for the big opportunity while neglecting the small ones. But in most of the stories God writes, the big doors open for those who were faithful in the small things.
What "hand" are you neglecting? It might be a study you keep putting off. A skill you stopped practicing. A relationship that needed more attention. A calling you still haven't taken seriously.
Today, take care of what's in your hand. With presence, with intention, with care. Today's diligence is the ground tomorrow will grow from.
Prayer
Lord, I want to be diligent with what You've placed in my hands. Drive laziness and procrastination away from me. May I take good care of what I've received. Amen.
