Day 53Young Woman of Faith

Spirit of Power

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7

A spirit of fear does not come from God. When you hear that voice saying "stay quiet, it won't work, you're not capable, better not to try" — that's not discernment. That's cowardice. And it isn't from God.

What God gave you is power. Not arrogance — power. The ability to act even when your legs are shaking. Strength that comes not from you, but from Him dwelling in you.

And love. Because often the deepest courage isn't the kind that faces a stage or a crowd — it's the kind that loves when it hurts, that forgives when holding a grudge would be easier, that stays when leaving would be easier.

And a sound mind — a mind that is stable, balanced, that doesn't panic or make decisions in the heat of emotion. A mind that thinks clearly because it's anchored in God.

These three are yours. You don't need to borrow them — they were given to you. Live from them.

Prayer

God, thank You for the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind that You have placed in me. May I live from what You have given me, not from what fear offers me. Amen.
