Day 39Young Woman of Faith

The Body as a Temple

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Glorifying God in your body isn't only about sexual purity. It's a posture toward your whole life. It's how you care for what you sleep on, what you eat, what you let in through your eyes and ears. It's the respect you have for this house where the Holy Spirit dwells.

This doesn't mean living under a military regimen of self-care. It means recognizing that you have worth — that your body isn't just an object of pleasure or of criticism. It's the place God chose to live in.

When you mistreat your body through exhaustion, through comparison, through letting others treat it without respect — you're forgetting Who bought this temple. The price was enormous. It was paid with love.

Today, treat your body with the reverence of someone who knows it's inhabited. Not with perfection — with care. And when you don't know how, ask the Holy Spirit to teach you.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for living in me. May I care for my body as one who knows the worth it has before You. May my whole life be an act of worship. Amen.
