Day 3 — Young Woman of Faith
The Image You Carry
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
Genesis 1:27
When you think of "the image of God," what comes to mind? Maybe something distant, too sacred, far from your reality as a young woman with doubts, with mistakes, with Instagram and exam pressure.
But this verse is talking about you. It is you who carries that mark.
Being made in the image of God isn't just theological. It's personal. It means you have the capacity to love, to create, to reason, to relate, to have dignity — because you were designed to reflect something of God Himself. No algorithm, no number of likes, no test score changes that. Your dignity isn't earned, it's inherited.
So when someone belittles you, humiliates you, or makes you feel less than — they're getting it wrong. Not just with you, but with the image of God you carry.
Today, walk with that awareness: you carry something sacred. Treat yourself with the respect that inheritance deserves.
Prayer
God, sometimes I forget that I carry Your image. Help me remember it when I feel small or undervalued. May I treat myself and others with that awareness. Amen.
