Day 16Young Woman of Faith

The Future Is in Good Hands

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Jeremiah 29:11

This verse was written to a people in exile. People who had lost everything — the city, the temple, the life they knew. And God sends a letter saying: I have plans.

Think about what that means for you. Maybe you're in a season of uncertainty right now: what to do after high school? Which college to choose? What path to follow? How do you know what God wants?

And in that fog, God says the same thing He said to the people in exile: I have plans for you. Plans of peace, not of evil. The future waiting for you is no surprise to Him — and it's not something you have to piece together alone, afraid of getting it wrong.

You can make decisions with wisdom, seek guidance, pray, study, act — but without the paralyzing weight of feeling that it all depends on you. God holds your future, and His hands are secure.

Today, hand over to Him the worries you carry about tomorrow. And breathe.

Prayer

Lord, the future scares me sometimes. But today I choose to trust that Your plans are good — even when I can't see the whole path. Take care of me. Amen.
