Day 82 — Goodnight, Lord
He Carries You Safely
“My times are in thy hand.”
Psalm 31:15
What a phrase to carry to bed: my times are in Your hands. Everything that worries you about time — what hasn't happened yet, what's taking too long, the clock that seems to be running against you — is, in fact, in God's hands. You don't have to control the calendar of your life; He takes care of that. Tomorrow, next week, whatever lies ahead: it's all already under His care. At night, anxiety loves to play games with time, anticipating deadlines and delays. But if your times are in God's hands, you can let go of the clock and rest. Today, hand over to Him not just this day, but all your times. And sleep with confidence: the One who holds your time in His hands will not let you arrive late for what He has prepared. Rest in God's timing.
Prayer
Father, my times are in Your hands. I let go of control over my clock and trust in Your timing. Take the rush out of my heart and give me rest. Amen.
