Day 71 — Goodnight, Lord
He Carries You in His Arms
“He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom.”
Isaiah 40:11
There are days when we simply can't keep walking on our own strength. And that's exactly where the tenderness of this verse steps in: the Shepherd doesn't just guide the flock, He gathers the tired lambs into His arms. You don't have to be strong enough today to keep going alone. You can let yourself be carried. God doesn't only have the firmness to lead you; He has arms to gather you when you can't take another step. If the day has left you without ground to stand on, remember there is a bosom where you belong. Tonight, before you sleep, stop trying to walk and surrender to God's embrace. Being carried isn't weakness — it's the sweetest care there is. Rest in the Shepherd's arms, the way a tired lamb rests: without straining, just trusting.
Prayer
Lord, tonight I have no strength to walk on my own. Gather me into Your arms and carry me close to You. I surrender to Your care and rest. Amen.
