Day 60Goodnight, Lord

Gratitude that becomes peace

Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith... abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Colossians 2:7

Gratitude isn't just good spiritual manners; it has a real effect on the heart. When you end the day overflowing with thanksgiving, anxiety finds less room to grow. It's hard to be agitated and grateful at the same time. That's why, before sleep, it's worth rooting your heart in gratitude. Remember what God has done, who He is, the care that has sustained you this far — and let that recognition turn into peace. Those who are established and rooted in God aren't easily shaken by nighttime worry. Tonight, fill your heart with gratitude before you close your eyes. Count your blessings the way you'd count sheep, and let each one bring you closer to sleep. Gratitude is one of the sweetest doors to rest. Sleep overflowing with thanks.

Prayer

Father, my heart overflows with gratitude to You. For all You have done and for who You are, I thank You. May this gratitude turn into peace and lead me to sleep. Amen.
