Day 56 — Goodnight, Lord
Letting go of comparison before sleep
“Let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.”
Galatians 6:4
Night is fertile ground for comparison. You scroll through your thoughts — or your phone — and it seems like everyone else's life is going better, looking prettier, more figured out. And then your own day, which was good enough, starts to feel small. God invites you out of that trap. Your journey is yours; it doesn't need to be measured against anyone else's. What matters is what He has been doing in your life, in His time, in His way. Tonight, before you sleep, put down the measuring stick of comparison. You are not behind, and you are not less than anyone else in God's eyes. Give thanks for what is yours, and rest without competing with someone else's life. The path God has laid out for you is unique — and He never gets the leading wrong.
Prayer
Father, I let go of comparison tonight. Help me see what You are doing in my life, in my time. Free me from measuring myself against others, and give me peace. Amen.
