Day 57Goodnight, Lord

The presence that fills with joy

In thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Psalm 16:11

At the end of an exhausting day, we tend to think we need a thousand things to feel okay. But the psalmist discovered the secret: the fullest joy is found in the presence of God. Not in having everything figured out, not in achievements, but in being near Him. And that presence doesn't leave you at night — it's here, in this room, in this quiet moment. You can end the day lacking many things and still find fulness of joy by drawing near to God before you sleep. Tonight, instead of looking for comfort in places where it doesn't last, gather yourself into His presence. There is a fullness there that the world cannot give. Sleep close to God, and let the quiet joy of His presence fill the empty spaces the day left behind.

Prayer

Lord, in Your presence there is joy that fills. Draw me close to You tonight and fill what is empty in me. I rest near Your heart. Amen.
