Day 53 — Goodnight, Lord
Under His mighty hand
“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.”
1 Peter 5:6
Humbling yourself before God at night is simply acknowledging: "Lord, I can't handle it all, and that's okay." It's letting go of the illusion that you have to control every detail, and placing yourself under His hand — a mighty hand, able to carry what you cannot. This isn't a posture of defeat, but of rest. Those who place themselves under God's hand don't have to hold up the world with their own arms. Tonight, lower your guard. Acknowledge your limits without shame, and trust that, in His time, God lifts up, resolves, and exalts. You don't have to force anything right now. Under His mighty hand, you are covered and safe. Sleep beneath that hand, knowing it is strong enough for whatever troubles you.
Prayer
Lord, I place myself under Your mighty hand. I acknowledge that on my own I cannot handle it all, and I rest in Your power. In Your time, You take care of everything. Amen.
