Day 51 — Goodnight, Lord
He heals the wounded
“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
Psalm 147:3
There are wounds we carry all day without showing anyone. At night, when the noise of the world quiets down, they often hurt the most. But night is also the best time to let God draw near to the pain. He doesn't overlook what hurts you; He heals, He binds up wounds with the care of someone who loves you. You don't have to pretend to be whole before Him. You can come just as you are — broken, hurting, tired of the pain — and place the wound in the hands of the One who knows how to heal. Healing isn't always fast, but God's hands are already upon you. Tonight, before you sleep, show Him what hurts. Let Him begin to heal while you rest. You are in the hands of the best physician.
Prayer
Lord, there are wounds in me that only You know. Draw near, heal my heart, and bind up what is broken. I rest while You take care of me. Amen.
