Halfway there, fully cared for

You've reached the halfway point of these nights — forty-five have already gone by. Look back for a moment: on every one of those days, God helped you. Not always the way you expected, but He sustained you all the way to here. This small milestone is a good reason to rest with gratitude. If He brought you this far, He will carry you onward. The God who cared for you on the nights already past is the same God of the nights still to come. "Hitherto" isn't only about the past; it's a promise that the help continues. Tonight, before you sleep, set up a marker in your heart and say: thus far the Lord has helped me. And sleep confident that the same hand that brought you here will not let go from now on.
