Day 43 — Goodnight, Lord
He rejoices over you
“The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17
Imagine ending the day knowing that God rejoices over you — not despite who you are, but in you, just as you are. He is not a God with arms crossed, waiting for you to get it right before He smiles. He delights in you the way a father loves a child simply because that child exists. After a day when you may have felt like not enough, this verse is an embrace: the Creator of heaven rejoices over you with singing. You are a reason for joy to God. Tonight, before you sleep, let that truth soften your weary heart. You won't fall asleep as a disappointment, but as someone God delights in. Rest, cradled by this love that sings over you in the silence of the night.
Prayer
Lord, it's hard to believe that You rejoice over me, but Your Word says You do. Thank You for loving me this way. I sleep, cradled by the joy You feel for me. Amen.
