Day 42 — Goodnight, Lord
Let go of guilt before you sleep
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:9
Some nights we lie down with a weight on our chest: something we did that we shouldn't have, the harsh word, the failure no one saw but that weighs on us anyway. Don't carry that weight to your pillow. God offers a simple path to make the night light again: confess and be forgiven. You don't need to carry today's guilt; you can hand it over and receive it back as forgiveness. He is faithful to forgive — not grudgingly, but wholeheartedly. Tonight, instead of punishing yourself by replaying the mistake, bring it to God and let Him cleanse you. The guilt you insist on holding onto, He is already ready to take away. Tonight, make peace with God before you sleep, and rest cleansed. His forgiveness fits exactly where it hurts.
Prayer
Father, I confess to You what weighs on my conscience tonight. Forgive me and cleanse my heart. I let go of the guilt into Your hands and sleep in peace with You. Amen.
