Day 41Goodnight, Lord

New strength in the morning

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength... they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

You ended the day running on empty, and that's all right. You weren't made to have strength to spare all the time. The Word promises something better than your own reserves: renewed strength for those who wait on God. Tonight you don't need to save up energy for tomorrow — tomorrow it will be renewed at the right source. The rest of the night is part of that renewal. When you sleep trusting God, you are waiting on Him, and it's in that very waiting that strength is remade. Tonight, don't beat yourself up for being exhausted. Today's exhaustion isn't the end; it's an invitation to rest and let God refill what was emptied. Sleep waiting on Him, and wake with new strength for the road ahead. The tiredness of today won't have the final word.

Prayer

Lord, I end the day tired, but I wait on You. Renew my strength while I sleep and give me back new energy in the morning. I rest in Your promise. Amen.
