Day 36 — Goodnight, Lord
He Calls You by Name
“But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”
Isaiah 43:1
At the end of the day, it's easy to feel like just one more person — just one more tired soul, ticking off obligations, with no one noticing what you carry. But to God, you are not "just one more." He calls you by name. He knows your story, today's exhaustion, what no one else saw. You are not lost in the crowd in His eyes. You are His, known and loved personally, name and all. What rest it is to know that the God of the universe knows exactly who you are and never mistakes you for someone else. Tonight, before you sleep, let this truth warm you: you are seen, you are called by name, you belong to God. Don't sleep like a stranger. Sleep like someone who has a name before the Father.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for calling me by name. In the midst of everything, You know who I am and You do not forget me. I am Yours. I rest known and loved, recognized by You. Amen.
