Day 31Goodnight, Lord

The Safe Shelter

I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Psalm 91:2

After a day when everything seemed to push against you, what a relief to have somewhere to take shelter. God is that place. Not just any refuge, but a fortress — secure, steady, one no worry can knock down. You can step into it right now, tonight, and rest protected. It doesn't matter what's out there knocking at your door: inside God's shelter, you are safe. That's exactly what trust is — choosing His refuge instead of trying to defend yourself alone. Tonight, before you sleep, withdraw into that fortress. Say, like the psalmist: "He is my refuge." And let that certainty calm your chest. You don't have to keep watch on the walls; God Himself is your protection tonight.

Prayer

Lord, You are my refuge and my fortress. I take shelter in You tonight and rest protected. Nothing out there can reach me within Your care. Amen.
