Day 81Closer to God — 365 Days

God Has Not Forgotten You

Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

Isaiah 49:15

There's a kind of anxiety born from a question you might never say out loud: "Has God forgotten me?"

When prayer seems to go nowhere. When life doesn't change no matter what you do. When you see other people being blessed and wonder where your turn is. That doubt is more common than it seems, and God knows it.

And He answered before you even asked: "I will not forget thee." The image He uses is the strongest one there is — a mother nursing her child. Even if that impossible thing happened — I would still remember you.

You are not forgotten. You are not at the back of the line. You have not gone unnoticed. He knows your name. And He has a set time for every single thing in your life.

Prayer

God, sometimes I feel forgotten. Remind me today that Your love is more faithful than the most faithful love I know. I am Yours, and You do not forget Your own. Amen.
