Day 59Closer to God — 365 Days

God Guides Even in the Dark

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Psalm 119:105

A lamp for your feet doesn't light up the whole horizon. It lights up the next step. Only the next one. And sometimes that's all God gives — and it's all you need.

Trusting that light means letting go of the need to see everything at once. It means being at peace with the fact that the path reveals itself as you walk. That requires a trust in the Guide that is greater than the need to see the destination.

God's Word is that lamp. It doesn't explain everything — it lights up just enough for you to keep walking without stumbling. When you're in the dark, when the situation is confusing and you don't know the next step, go back to the Word. Not as a formula, but as a conversation with the One who knows the way. Because whoever has the lamp doesn't need the whole sun to walk.

Prayer

Lord, may Your Word be my lamp in every dark moment. I don't need to see the whole road — just the next step. And I trust You will show me each one. Amen.
