The Voice That Guides

Have you ever found yourself at a crossroads, not knowing which way to turn? That moment of paralysis when every option seems to carry its own risk, and you simply don't know what to do? God knows that moment. And He has promised that there is a voice to guide you.

"This is the way, walk ye in it." What a promise. Not a complete map of everything that's going to happen — just the next indication. The next step. And that's exactly what you need in order to start moving.

Hearing that voice requires stillness. It requires the willingness to stop acting on impulse and to make space to listen. Reading the Word, prayer, wise counsel, inner peace — these are the channels through which God speaks. Tend to your intimacy with Him, and you will recognize the voice when it comes. Because whoever spends time with the Shepherd recognizes the Shepherd's voice.
