Day 5 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Made On Purpose
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”
Psalm 139:14
There's a cruel whisper many people carry: the thought that they were a mistake. That they don't have enough — talent, beauty, strength, faith. That other people were made more capable, more worthy, more loved.
But Psalm 139 leaves no room for that thought. God made you in an awe-inspiring way. The Hebrew word used here carries the idea of something that makes us tremble with wonder. It's like watching a perfect sunset and being left speechless.
You were made just like that. With that much care. With that level of attention.
There is no improved version of you that God was trying to create and failed to. You — with your quirks, your limitations, your whole story — are the work He set out to make.
Today, when the mirror or comparison try to lie to you, remember: your soul knows full well that God made you with wonder.
Prayer
Father, help me see what You see when You look at me. Thank You for creating me with care and purpose. May I treat myself with the same gentleness with which You made me. Amen.
