Day 4 — Closer to God — 365 Days
He Will Finish What He Started
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”
Philippians 1:6
Picture a sculptor who begins a work and walks away halfway through. That is simply not how God works.
He doesn't start things just to abandon them. He doesn't call you only to leave you stranded halfway. When He placed faith in your heart, when He stirred in you the desire to be better, to live with more purpose, to draw closer to Him — that was Him beginning a work. And He promises, with the authority of One who cannot lie: He will finish it.
Maybe you're in a season where nothing seems to be moving forward. Life feels stuck, or you're in the middle of a pain that won't go away, or you simply feel like you're walking in circles. The work continues. The Craftsman hasn't fallen asleep.
In the parts of you that still feel broken, He is working. In what you still can't see, He is already present. Trust the Author of your story — He doesn't walk away from the work halfway through.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for not giving up on my life. Give me faith to trust the process, even when I can't see the progress. You who began this work will complete it. Amen.
