Day 363Closer to God — 365 Days

Promised and Kept

Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

1 Thessalonians 5:24

At the end of the year, God's promises can feel both more precious and more heavy — precious because you need them, heavy because you're still waiting on some of them.

But there is something that never changes: God is faithful. Not "usually faithful." Not "faithful when conditions are right." Faithful. Period.

If He promised it, He will do it. If He called you, He will sustain what He called. You don't have to carry the weight of "what if He changes His mind," because He doesn't change. What He said, He said. What He promised, He will fulfill.

That doesn't mean the fulfillment will come on your timeline or in the way you imagined. Sometimes God's faithfulness looks different than we expected. But it never fails.

Hold on to the promises with both hands, my friend. Don't let them go because of what hasn't arrived yet. He is faithful.

Prayer

Faithful God, thank You that Your promises are yes and amen. May I never let go of the promises You have given me while I wait for the time of Your fulfillment. Amen.
