Day 361Closer to God — 365 Days

Sowing with Hope

He which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

2 Corinthians 9:6b

Before the new year begins, there is still time to sow. And Paul reminds us: the amount of seed matters. Not because God is an accountant, but because sowing reveals the size of our faith.

To sow abundantly is to love without fear of being rejected. It is to give without calculating the return. It is to serve without expecting recognition. It is to forgive without any guarantee of reciprocity. It is to pray for people who haven't changed yet. It is to invest in what doesn't yet show visible results.

That is a bold faith. A faith that loves broadly, because it believes God honors what is sown in love.

In these final days of the year, what seeds can you still plant? A conversation you keep putting off. An apology you still owe. A gesture of generosity your heart has whispered but you haven't done yet.

Plant it now. The harvest is coming.

Prayer

Father, let me be someone who sows with generosity and hope. May my life be full of seeds cast in faith, trusting in Your harvest. Amen.
