Day 359Closer to God — 365 Days

The Peace That Guards

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:7

There are situations in life with no immediate human solution. Diagnoses that frighten. Relationships that wound. Finances that worry. And the human mind, left on its own, works overtime trying to solve what it has no way of solving alone.

The peace God offers doesn't depend on the situation being resolved. It "passes understanding" — it goes beyond logic. It guards — like a soldier stationed at the entrance of your heart, keeping despair from getting in.

That peace doesn't come from tidy circumstances. It comes from trust placed in Him. When you hand over to Him what you've been carrying, something shifts inside. Not because the problem disappeared — but because you're no longer carrying it alone.

You can end this year in peace. Not because everything got resolved. Because He is in control.

Prayer

God, may Your peace, which goes beyond what I can understand, guard my heart and my mind today. May I rest in You. Amen.
