Day 35 — Closer to God — 365 Days
The Peace You Don't Have to Manufacture
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
Psalm 46:10
Modern life is afraid of silence. There's always a screen, a notification, background noise to fill the emptiness. But God says: be still. Stop. Don't do anything for a moment. Just be.
Being still before God isn't weakness. It's an act of faith. It's acknowledging that some things are beyond your reach, and that's okay. It's stopping the frantic effort to fix what only He can fix. It's breathing and remembering that the same God who sustains the universe is caring for your life at this exact moment.
"Know that I am God." That revelation doesn't come in the middle of the chaos. It comes when you stop long enough to receive it. Today, for a few minutes, let go of the to-do list, let go of the worry, let go of control. Be still. And let God be God in your life.
Prayer
God, I still myself before You. Quiet the noise inside me and remind me who You are. May I find peace not in my own efforts, but in Your presence. Amen.
