Day 34 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Surrendering Your Plans
“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
Psalm 37:5
Have you ever had a plan so sure that when it didn't happen, it felt like the ground disappeared beneath you? Plans are good. God gave us the ability to think, to dream, to plan. But there's a difference between making plans and clinging to them as if your life depended on them.
Committing your way to the Lord isn't giving up on dreaming. It's opening your hand so He can reposition what needs repositioning. Sometimes the plan you had was good, but what He has is better. Sometimes the road that looked wrong was exactly the detour you needed to get where you were meant to be.
He will bring it to pass. That promise is precious. You don't need to force, manipulate, or rush what's in hands far bigger than your own. Commit it, trust, and then watch. God works in the details of your story once you stop trying to write it alone.
Prayer
Lord, I commit my plans, my dreams, and my path into Your hands. Do what needs to be done, the way only You know how. I trust You. Amen.
