Day 349 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Steadfast and Unshaken
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 15:58
You know that moment when you wonder, "Is any of this actually making a difference?" The prayer that seems to go unheard. The love poured out that seems to go unreturned. The service done in obscurity, with no recognition.
Paul has an answer for that thought: your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
Nothing you do with your heart turned toward God is ever lost. No prayer evaporates into the air. No gesture of love disappears into the wind. No tear of faith falls in vain. Everything is seen. Everything is recorded. Everything will be rewarded — in His time, in His way.
So be steadfast. Be constant. Not in your own strength — in the certainty that He who promised is faithful, and that nothing done in His name is ever wasted.
You are building something that lasts forever. Even if today you can't quite see it.
Prayer
God, when weariness makes me doubt whether it's worth it, remind me that nothing done out of love for You is in vain. Give me steadfastness and endurance to keep going. Amen.
