Day 347 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Joy in Every Season
“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.”
Philippians 4:4
Paul didn't say "rejoice when things go well." He said "always." And to make sure we understood, he repeated it: "again I say, rejoice."
The repetition isn't carelessness. It's emphasis. As if he knew our natural reaction would be, "But Paul, you don't know my situation." And he would answer, "I know mine. And even so — rejoice."
Christian joy isn't pretending everything is fine. It's an act of faith that declares: "God is good even when circumstances aren't." It's looking beyond the visible and seeing what is eternal.
This joy changes the atmosphere of your home. It changes how you face Monday morning. It changes what you pass on to your children, your family, your friends.
You can choose joy today. Not as a performance — as a decision. As an act of faith.
Prayer
Father, may joy in You be my daily choice — not because everything is easy, but because You are real and good. May this joy overflow to those around me. Amen.
