Day 337Closer to God — 365 Days

Do Not Grow Weary on the Way

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Galatians 6:9

December has arrived, and maybe you're arriving right along with it — tired, a little worn thin, feeling the weight of a whole year on your shoulders. That's normal. No one who has truly lived gets through a year without growing weary.

But notice what Paul says: he doesn't say "if you don't get tired." He says "if we faint not" — if we don't give up. Tiredness can come. Discouragement can knock at the door. What can't happen is you quitting the race before you reach the finish line.

The promise stands firm: there will be a harvest. Everything you planted in faith this year — the silent prayers, the hard choices, the acts of love no one saw — all of it will bear fruit. In due season. In His time, which is always the right time.

So take a deep breath. You don't need to run faster. You just need to keep going.

Prayer

Lord, my body and my soul are tired, but my faith is still standing. Sustain my journey through this final month. May I not give up before the harvest You are preparing for me. Amen.
