Day 334 — Closer to God — 365 Days
When Morning Comes
“I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.”
Psalm 16:8-9
David's secret to stability was position: God at his right hand. Not behind him, not far away — right beside him, close enough to hold him up.
When you know God is beside you, the instability around you loses its power. You may be shaken, but you will not be removed from your place. Because it is not your own strength that keeps you standing — it is God's nearness.
And the result is joy. The heart rejoices. The tongue sings. The flesh rests. There is a chain here that begins with position — God beside you — and ends with rest.
Are you tense? Afraid of being moved? Check your position. Not God's position, which never changes. But the position from which you are looking at Him. Turn your face back to Him, and let joy be the proof that He is near.
Prayer
God, help me keep my eyes on You. When everything shakes, let me feel Your presence at my right hand. Let my heart rejoice in You. Amen.
