Day 332Closer to God — 365 Days

Every Promise, a Stone

Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

1 Kings 8:56

Solomon said this at the dedication of the temple — looking back over everything God had promised the house of Israel across generations, and declaring: not one word failed. All of it came to pass.

That is God's track record. Not of a few fulfillments — of all of them. Every promise He made, He kept. Every word that came from His mouth came true.

That changes how you can relate to the promises God has placed in your heart. They are not uncertain hopes. They are certainties with a fulfillment date you simply don't know yet.

You can look at unfulfilled promises with fear, or you can look at God's track record with faith. He has never let a promise fail. The one you're waiting on won't be the first exception.

Prayer

Father, thank You for Your track record of faithfulness. What You have promised, You will fulfill. Let me wait with the confidence of one who knows Your word. Amen.
