Day 32Closer to God — 365 Days

When the Heart Doesn't Know the Way

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Proverbs 3:5

How many times have you lain awake trying to understand what God is doing? Calculating, weighing, trying to fit together the pieces of a life that won't follow your script. It's human to want to understand. But there's a huge difference between seeking wisdom and depending on your own intelligence to run your life.

Trusting with all your heart means surrendering even the part of you that says "but what if...". Even the part that lies anxious at three in the morning. Even the part that has lost faith a few times and still came back. God doesn't ask you to understand before you trust. He asks you to trust even without understanding.

Your understanding is limited. His isn't. When you stop trying to control what's beyond you and start resting in the heart of a God who knows every detail of your story, something shifts. Peace doesn't come from having answers. It comes from knowing who you trust.

Prayer

Lord, today I choose to trust You more than my own conclusions. Guard my heart from the arrogance of thinking I need to understand everything before I can move forward. I lean on You. Amen.
