Day 282 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Don't Forget His Blessings
“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”
Psalm 103:2
Human memory has a strange way of remembering pain more easily than blessing. The psalmist knew this — and so he commands himself: don't forget. It's almost a warning to himself. "My soul, pay attention. Don't let the blessings slip from memory while the problems take up all the space." How about making a list today? It doesn't have to be long. Five things you're grateful for — small or big. The health you have. The roof over your head. Someone who loves you. A prayer that was answered. A moment of peace. Writing down your blessings has power. It anchors the soul instead of letting it drift in worry. And when the heart returns to giving thanks, something changes inside — gratitude is a medicine God placed in our hands.
Prayer
Father, forgive the times I forgot Your blessings in the midst of my complaints. Today I want to remember — and truly thank You for all You have done. Amen.
