Day 279Closer to God — 365 Days

Never Forsaken

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

Psalm 37:25

There's a deep peace in these words. The psalmist spent his whole life watching — he was young, he grew old — and never saw the righteous forsaken. He didn't say the righteous never went through hardship. He said they were never abandoned in the middle of it. There's a huge difference between going through a hard season and being forsaken. God allows us to walk through valleys, but He never lets us walk through them alone. If today you're in a season of hardship, scarcity, or uncertainty — this promise is for you. You are not alone. You are not forsaken. God has His eyes on your life, on your family, on every need. The story of so many who came before us says the same thing: in the end, God showed up. And He will show up for you too.

Prayer

God, when I feel alone in the hardship, remind me of this promise. You have never abandoned Your own — and You won't start with me. Thank You for a faithfulness that spans generations. Amen.
