Day 235 — Closer to God — 365 Days
God's Timing Is Never Late
“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”
2 Peter 3:8
You are waiting. It's been a while. The calling you saw seems stuck. The plans you handed over to God still haven't come to pass. And impatience begins to whisper, "Maybe it isn't for you. Maybe you heard wrong."
But God doesn't work on the same clock as you. His timing isn't slow — it's perfect. What feels like delay to you may be exactly the preparation you need most. What you call waiting, He calls forming.
The years in the desert prepared Moses to lead. The years in the pit and in prison prepared Joseph to govern. Waiting is rarely empty — it's full of learning, even when it doesn't seem like it.
Trust His timing. Not because waiting is easy, but because what He prepares in the right time is far better than anything your rushing would achieve ahead of time.
Prayer
Lord, in this waiting, I trust Your timing. Teach me what only waiting can teach, and guard my heart from the bitterness of impatience. Amen.
