Day 233 — Closer to God — 365 Days
She Said Yes
“Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.”
Luke 1:38
Mary was young. Without a plan. Without any apparent preparation. And God chose her to carry the greatest calling in history.
She didn't say, "Let me get ready first." She didn't say, "Are you sure I'm the right person?" She said yes. A yes that changed the world.
Your yes can change worlds too — smaller worlds, perhaps, but no less real. The yes you give when you care for someone who's suffering. The yes you give when you commit to praying. The yes you give when you accept a calling that seems too big.
God isn't looking for the most capable. He's looking for the available. Those who say, "Here I am. Do with me according to Your will."
And what seems impossible when you say yes — the supernatural pregnancy, the miracle, the calling beyond your own strength — God makes it happen. Because He never calls without equipping.
Prayer
Father, like Mary, I want to say yes to Your calling. Let me be Your willing servant, knowing You are faithful to equip whom You choose. Amen.
