You Haven't Ruined Your Life

Have you ever thought, "I should have done things differently. If I had made another decision, I'd be somewhere else now"?

That voice is very common. And very cruel.

But there is a truth that can set you free from that spiral: God is sovereign over your detours. He doesn't only use our right choices — He uses our mistakes too. He uses the crooked path to teach us what the straight path never would.

You haven't ruined your life. You are exactly in the school God has allowed for the shaping you need.

That doesn't mean everything that happened was ideal. It means nothing escaped His hand. It means He can take every detour, every regret, every hard decision, and weave something beautiful out of it.

Don't spend your energy mourning what you can't change. Look at where you are today and ask, "What does God want to do here, now, with this?" He has an answer.
