Day 220 — Closer to God — 365 Days
For Such a Time as This
“And who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Esther 4:14
Esther was a young person in a hostile world, with no apparent power, no elaborate plan. And then came the question that changed everything: what if you are exactly where you are to do exactly what only you can do?
The question applies to you too. It's no accident that you're in this city, this marriage, this job, this family. It's no accident that you have the story you have, that you've lived what you've lived. God often uses our very scars to touch the wounds of others.
"For such a time as this" doesn't mean you're going to change the whole world. Sometimes it means being a faithful presence in one person's life. Being the mother who prays. Being the friend who didn't give up. Being the person who stayed standing when everything around her was collapsing.
You were placed here, now, on purpose. Don't waste this gift that is today.
Prayer
Father, show me for what time such as this I was called. May I not miss the moment You prepared for me, out of fear or distraction. Amen.
