Created for Good Works

There is something prepared specifically for you. Not for someone else more talented, more educated, more spiritual. For you. God prepared good works before you were even born, and the path you're walking — stumbles and all — is leading you straight to them.

His workmanship. That word is beautiful. You are God's work of art. Not a poorly made copy, not a rough draft. A creation made with purpose and care.

Sometimes we look at our own lives and only see the holes, the broken parts. But God looks and sees the work He is completing. And that work has a destination: to walk in the good works He has prepared.

It might be in caring for your children, in the conversation you'll have with a friend today, in the work you do with integrity. Good works rarely look grand from the outside. On the inside, though, they change eternities.
