Day 217 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Plans That Don't Disappoint
“A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.”
Proverbs 16:9
You plan, organize, dream — and you're right to do it. God doesn't want a passive daughter who does nothing and waits for it to fall from the sky. But there's a part of this equation we tend to forget: it's He who directs the steps.
This isn't a threat. It's a relief. Because you already know what it's like to carry the weight of controlling everything, of blaming yourself when plans fall apart, of feeling like you've failed when the path changes.
What if the detour in your plan was exactly His direction?
The grace in this promise is that you can plan with lightness, knowing the Lord is in command. You do your part — you think, act, seek — and let Him adjust, correct, and open the right doors at the right time.
Today, hand your planning over into His hands. Not to stop acting, but to act with peace.
Prayer
Lord, here are my plans and my dreams. Direct my steps. I trust that Your detours are the best paths. Amen.
